I've worked on a number of independent game and modification projects as an artist, and often as a script programmer. I love the balance of the technical with the artistic, and always keep an eye on keeping art looking as good as possible with the best possible performance. To this end, I've enrolled at DeVry University Online for Game and Simulation Programming, so that I can better understand the nuts and bolts of how games work. (and something ALWAYS needs simulating) I enjoy the challenge of doing something in a new, or more efficient way, and squeezing as much as possible out of the limits given. I love learning new things, sometimes too many at once, but I feel the more knowledge and skills I can acquire the more problems can be solved across multiple areas of development.
I primarily use Maya for 3d art, and I also have many years of experience with Lightwave, and some experience with 3d Studio Max. I've used Photoshop for texturing and photographic manipulation since version 3, and have touched on Painter and a number of other 2d graphics packages. I have a solid background in traditional art, and strong computer graphics skills in the areas of modeling, texturing, animation and rig development, scripting, and am in the process of learning several real time shading languages.
